All Systems NO!

Morning,

Well, since tour we've done absolutely bugger all. Barely practiced, no shows, not a huge amount of writing....frankly it's been nice to chill out, only been to a few shows to watch too - Shot Baker / Classics of Love show is the only one that springs to mind, SB were ace and the album is pretty outstanding too, so at least it was worth venturing to the Engine Rooms (toilets now functioning - amazing). Oh, and Kunt & The Gang was pretty funny until his guts went wrong / swine flu / whatever excuse that lanky bastard gave! Actually, he seemed in genuine distress so fair play, and the documentary is fucking brilliant.

But alas all good things come to an end, and this coming Monday (18th May 2009) at the Prince Albert Pub in Brighton we'll be back on stage / floor area screaming our little heads off. We're playing with fellow Brightonians Those Damn Owls and a band only known as The Park who appear not to have a myspace/purevolume or any information about them so far, it might be their first show I think - but I digress, their bassist is rumoured to have been a member of Britpop chart botherers Cornershop back 'in the day'...so I'm expecting some quality poppy indie, and if it's another bunch of scruffy hooligans with spikey hair and tattoos then I'll be disapointed. Details below:

Prince Albert (upstairs), Trafalgor Street, Brighton - just below the train station.
£3/4 door tax.
We're on first at 8.30pm approximately.
The Park are up next, and then the evening concludes with Those Damn Owls....

If you haven't bought an album off us yet then we'll have a few with us - they cost £5 each, are 14 tracks in total, 30 minutes in length, and 100% of awesome. We also still have some 7" Lost London Records splits left from tour too...Obviously, after paying entry and for beers we totally understand if you don't, but we'll secretly resent you and plot your torrid downfall.

Plans: We don't really have any - we're not going out of our way to book shows between May and August, but if anything comes up we're all available for and it isn't too much hassle then we might one. I'm pretty much focusing on getting wedding stuff sorted as I'm getting married to my long term special friend Vicky on 14 August this year, but keep your ears to the ground for the long awaited (by me and 3 or 4 others) birth of Combat Wank, the heirs in waiting to the Beastie Boys throne.

Having said that we'll be back raring to go from September through to Dave's exodus to become a ski/snowboard instructor with his mrs, Gemma, in Austrian in November. So we'll do a few shows in Sep/Oct and probably have a Goodbye/thanks show sometime at the end of October or start of November. Then that's it. At least for 9 or 10 months, possibly permanently, we shall see...Unless I learn the drums and become the new Phil Collins that is...

Murghhhhhhhhhhh*

Bowden

*sex noise.
